The German Monasticon Carmelitanum
On the 28th of December, 2012, on the occasion of the celebration of the unification of the two German provinces, in Bamberg, Germany, the Prior General, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm. received the first copy of the Monasticon Carmelitanum, edited by Edeltraud Kleuting, Third Order Carmelite (Ger), Stephan Panzer, O.Carm., (Ger) and Andreas H. Scholten, O.Carm., (Ger). The work contains 80 articles by 51 authors. It is the first scientific account of the houses and monasteries in Germany and it is offered as a reference work, in which the story of each house and monastery is given in systematic fashion: history, building, significance, sources (archives, literature, documentation) etc. regarding every location where the Carmelites lived. It deals with all the houses of the Carmelite Order in Germany from the beginning right up to the present day. The work is intended for the wider public, but also for researchers as a tool and guide for future investigation. It is divided into three main sections: I. the history of the Provinces of Upper and Lower Germany, II. the houses before the napoleonic secularisation 1802/1803 c.e., (60 articles),  III. the new foundations from the 19th century onwards.
The Monasticon Carmelitanum of Germany follows Monasticon Carmelitanum of the Netherlands (Citoc-online 56/2011) as the second volume in a series of Monastica Carmelitana, and with encouragement from the Institutum Carmelitanum in Rome.

El día 28 de diciembre de 2012, en el marco de las celebraciones de la unificación de las dos provincias alemanas, fue presentado en Bamberg, Alemania, por el Prior General, P. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., el Monasticon Carmelitanum. Editado por Edeltraud Klueting T.O.Carm., Stephan Panzer, O.Carm. (Ger) y Andreas H. Scholten, O.Carm. (Ger), este libro contiene 80 artículos de 57 autores. El Monasticon es el primer repertorio científico de los conventos y monasterios alemanes y se presenta como un texto de referencia en el que se indican de manera sistemática la historia, los edificios, la significación, las fuentes (archivos, literatura, documentación) etc. correspondientes a cada localidad en la que los carmelitas están o estuvieron presentes. Se han estudiados los conventos y monasterios de la Orden Carmelitana en Alemania desde sus inicios hasta hoy. El libro se ofrece al gran público y también a los estudiosos como instrumento y guía para futuras investigaciones. El Monasticon se divide en tres partes: I. La historia de las provincias de Alemania Superior y Alemania Inferior; II. Los conventos antes de la secularización napoleónica del 1802/1803 (60 artículos); III. Las nuevas fundaciones del '900.
Después del Monasticon Carmelitanum Neerlandicum (Citoc-online 56/2011), el Monasticum Carmelitanum de Alemania es el segundo volumen de una serie de Monastica Carmelitana también promovida por el Institutum Carmelitanum de Roma.

Il 28 dicembre 2012, nel contesto della celebrazione dell'unificazione delle due province tedesche, è stata presentata al Priore Generale P. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., a Bamberg, in Germania, la prima copia del Monasticon Carmelitanum. Il libro, edito da Edeltraud Klueting T.O.Carm., Stephan Panzer,  O.Carm (Ger) e Andreas H. Scholten, O.Carm. (Ger), contiene 80 articoli di 57 autori. Il Monasticon è il primo repertorio scientifico dei conventi e monasteri tedeschi e si presenta come testo di riferimento, in cui sono indicate in maniera sistematica la storia, l'edificio, il significato, le fonti (archivi, letteratura, documentazione) ecc. riguardanti ogni località in cui sono stati e sono presenti i carmelitani. Sono stati presi in esame i conventi e monasteri dell'Ordine carmelitano in Germania dall'inizio fino ad oggi. Il libro è offerto a un pubblico ampio, ma anche agli studiosi come strumento e guida per future ricerche. Il Monasticon si articola in tre parti principali: I. La storia delle province di Germania Superiore e di Germania Inferiore; II. I conventi prima della secolarizzazione napoleonica del 1802/1803 (60 articoli) e III. Le nuove fondazioni del '900.
