First meeting of the General Commission for the revision of the Constitutions
The first meeting of the new General Commission for the revision of the Constitutions took place recently at the Centro Internazionale San Alberto in Rome, from Monday 3th to Wednesday 5th November.
The meeting was organised by the General Councillor with responsibility for the Commission, Fr. Michael Farrugia. He was joined by the other members of the Commission: Fr. Christian Kȍrner (Vice Prior General), Fr. John Keating (General Councillor), Fr. Joseph Chalmers (Brit), Fr. Giovanni Grosso (General Postulator), Fr. Mario Alfarano (General Delegate-Nuns) , Fr. Michael Plattig (President - Carmelite Institute), Fr. Alexander Vella (Mel), Fr. Quinn Connors (PCM), Fr. Claudemir Rozin (Par), , Fr. Jean Marie Dundjì Bagave (Ita-Congo), Fr. Alberto Neglia (Ita), Fr. Edison Tinambunam (Indo), Fr. Desiderio Garcia Martinez (ACV), Br. Gunter Benker (Ger), Fr. Dariuz Borek (Pol), Fr. Vicente Aranda Guillén (ACV). Fr. Charlò Camilleri (Mel) was unable to attend.
The meeting began with an address by the Prior General Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral and the work was divided into two sessions. The first session consisted of workshops made up of four subcommittees according the four parts of the Constitutions, and the second session considered the points emerging from the discussions and proposals presented by each subcommittee. The Commission set out a program of coordination on the proposals of each subcommittee for the revision of the Constitutions throughout the coming year. The next meeting of the commission will take place in November, 2015 with an initial draft of the first schema for the revision of the Constitutions. A wider process of consultation will then take place within the whole Order.

Primera reunión de la Comisión General para la revisión de las Constituciones
La Comisión para la revisión de las Constituciones tuvo su primera reunión  en el Centro Internacional San Alberto de Roma del lunes día 3 al miércoles día 5 de noviembre.
En la reunuón, organizada por el Consejo General y celebrada bajo la responsabilidad del Procurador General P. Michael Farrugia, participaron: P. Christian Kȍrner (Vice Prior General), P. John Keating (Consejero General), P. Joseph Chalmers (Brit), P. Giovanni Grosso (Postulador General), P. Mario Alfarano (Delegado General para las monjas) , P. Michael Plattig (Presidente del Institutum Carmelitanum), P. Alexander Vella (Mel), P. Quinn Conners (PCM), P. Claudemir Rozin (Par), P. Jean Marie Dundjì Bagave (Ita-Congo), P. Alberto Neglia (Ita), P. Edison Tinambunam (Indo), P. Desiderio Garcia Martinez (ACV), Fr. Gunter Benker (Ger), P. Dariuz Borek (Pol) e P. Vicente Aranda Guillén (ACV). El P. Charlò Camilleri (Mel) no pudo asistir.
La reunión se inició con el saludo del Prior General, P. Fernando Millán Romeral, y continuó con el trabajo en dos tiempos. Después de la primera sesión, durante la cual los cuatro subgrupos trabajaron sobre las cuatro partes de las Constituciones, la totalidad de la Comisión consideró los puntos de vista que aparecieron en el debate y en las propuestas de cada subgrupo. La Comisión estableció el programa a seguir durante el próximo año. Cada subgrupo presentará propuestas de revisiones en las Constituciones a todos los miembros de la Comisión, la cual se volverá a reunir en noviembre de 2015 con el fin de considerar un primer proyecto de la revisión. A continuación se involucrará a toda la Orden en un proceso de consulta más ámplio.

Il primo incontro della nuova Commissione per la revisione delle Costituzioni si è svolto da lunedì 3 a mercoledì 5 novembre presso il Centro Internazionale San Alberto a Roma.
L'incontro è stato organizzato dal Consiglio Generale. Hanno partecipato sotto la responsabilità del Procuratore Generale P. Michael Farrugia: P. Christian Kȍrner (Vice Priore Generale), P. John Keating (Consigliere Generale), P. Joseph Chalmers (Brit), P. Giovanni Grosso (Postulatore Generale), P. Mario Alfarano (Delegato Generale per le monache) , P. Michael Plattig (Presidente Istitutum Carmelitanum), P. Alexander Vella (Mel), P. Quinn Connors (PCM), P. Claudemir Rozin (Par), P. Jean Marie Dundjì Bagave (Ita-Congo), P. Alberto Neglia (Ita), P. Edison Tinambunam (Indo), P. Desiderio Garcia Martinez (ACV), Fr. Gunter Benker (Ger), P. Dariuz Borek (Pol) e P. Vicente Aranda Guillén (ACV). P. Charlò Camilleri (Mel) non è potuto venire.
L'incontro è iniziato con il saluto del Priore Generale, P. Fernando Millán Romeral, poi il lavoro è proseguito in due momenti. Dopo la prima sessione, nella quale quattro sottogruppi hanno lavorato sulle quattro parti delle Costituzioni, l’intera Commissione ha considerato i punti emersi dalle discussioni e dalle proposte di ciascun sottogruppo. La Commissione ha stabilito il programma da svolgere durante l'anno prossimo. Ogni sottogruppo presenterà delle proposte di revisione delle Costituzioni a tutti i membri della Commissione, che si ritroverà nel novembre 2015, per discutere una prima bozza di revisione. In seguito, tutto l'Ordine sarà coinvolto in un processo di consultazione più ampio.
