Activities of the Prior General
On the 11th of December the Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., presided at the book launch in St. Albert’s International Centre in Rome of the work by Don Giorgio Copertino, titled, “Interiorità e responsabilità: un Itinerario a Dio tra Husserl, Stein e Levinas” (Interiority and Responsibility: a journey to God with Husserl, Stein and Levinas), published by Edizioni Carmelitane. The speakers at this event were  Professors Angela Ales Bello, Emilio Baccarini and Craig Morrison, O.Carm., who dealt with the principle aspects of the new work.
On the 13th of December, last, accompanied by Fr. Mario Alfarano, O.Carm., Delegate General for Nuns and by Fr. Alberto De Giuli, Prior of the Carmelite community in Bologna, the Prior General led the celebration of the Eucharist in the chapel in “Via Saragozza”, to mark the amalgamation of the Suore Carmelitane delle Grazie (SCG) and the Istituto di Nostra Signora del Carmelo (INSC). At the end of the celebration he presented a small wooden crucifix and the Constitutions of the Instituto di Nostra Signora el Carmelo to the members of the Suore delle Grazie and pronounced the decree of amalgamation. On Saturday, the 20th of December, together with Fr. Saverio Cannintrà, O.C.D. Provost General of the Discalced Carmelites, Fr. Christian Körner, O.Carm., Vice Prior General of our Order, Fr. Roberto Toni, O.Carm., Prior Provincial of the Italian Province and several other Carmelites from the community of San Martino ai Monti, the Prior General attended the premier of a musical titled, “In viaggio verso Albertus & Carmel” (A rediscovery of Albertus & Carmel). Among the actors those featured were the noted Italian actress Claudia Koll, the soprano Felicia Bongiovanni and the dancers of the Star Rose Academy. The script was written by Sr. Mariarosaria Calabrese and Sr. Mariagiulia Verdi, both Carmelite hermits. The musical, which will be performed in a number of Italian cities in the next few years, illustrates key moments in the life of Albert, Patriarch of Jerusalem.
On the 26th and 27th of December, the Prior General presided at a series of events in Caudete (Albacete, Spain) on the occasion of the 1st centenary of the Carmelite monastery there. Following the solemn celebration of the Mass of Thanksgiving, several Carmelites joined in the procession with the statue of the Virgen de Gracia, (Our Lady of Grace), the patron of the city and of the monastery, which was kept in the chapel of the monastery throughout the celebrations. The Prior General then visited the monastery in Onteniente (Valencia, Spain), from where, one hundred years earlier, the nuns went out to found the monastery in Caudete. Over this period the Prior General also visited the monastery of Carpineto Romano in Italy.

Actividades del Prior General
El día 11 de diciembre el Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., presidió en el Centro Internacional de San Alberto (CISA) en Roma la presentación del libro “Interiorità e responsabilità: un Itinerario a Dio tra Husserl, Stein e Levinas” del sacerdote Don Giorgio Copertino, publicado por Edizioni Carmelitane. En dicho acto intervinieron los profesores Angela Ales Bello, Emilio Baccarini y Craig Morrison, O.Carm., quienes glosaron los aspectos principales de dicha obra.
El pasado día 13 de diciembre, acompañado el P. Mario Alfarano, O.Carm., Delegado General para las monjas y del P. Alberto De Giulis, O.Carm., Prior de la comunidad de Bolonia, el Prior General presidió una eucaristía en la capilla de “Via Saragozza”, con motivo de la fusión de las Hermanas Carmelitas de las Gracias (SCG) y del Instituto Nuestra Señora del Carmelo (INSC). Al término de la ceremonia entregó la pequeña cruz de madera y las Constituciones del Instituto Nuestra Señora del Carmelo a las hermanas de las Gracias y se leyó el decreto de fusión (Citoc 117/2014).
El sábado 20 de diciembre, junto al P. Saverio Cannistrà, OCD., Prepósito General de los carmelitas descalzos, al P. Christian Körner, O.Carm., Vice General de la Orden, al P. Roberto Toni, O.Carm., Provincial de Italia y numerosos carmelitas de la comunidad de San Martino, el Prior General asistió a la “premier” del Musical titulado “In viaggio verso Albertus & Carmel”. En el mismo actuaron la célebre actriz italiana Claudia Koll, la soprano Felicia Bongiovanni y los bailarines de la Star Rose Academy. Los textos son obra de Sor Mariarosaria Calabrese y Sor Mariagiulia Verdi, eremitas carmelitas. El Musical (que será representado en diversas ciudades italianas en los próximos años) muestra varios momentos de la vida de San Alberto, Patriarca de Jerusalén.
Los pasados días 26 y 27 de diciembre el Prior General presidió una serie de actos en Caudete (Albacete, España) con motivo del I centenario del monasterio. Tras la solemne eucaristía de acción de gracias, varios carmelitas acompañaron en procesión a la imagen de la Virgen de Gracia, Patrona de Caudete y titular del monasterio, que ha estado en la capilla de las monjas durante las celebraciones. Asimismo, el Prior General visitó el monasterio de Onteniente (Valencia, España), de donde, cien años antes, habían salido las fundadoras del monasterio caudetano. En este período, el Prior General ha visitado también el monasterio de Carpineto Romano (Italia).

Attività del Priore Generale
L'11 dicembre il Priore Generale, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., ha presieduto nel Centro Internazionale Sant'Alberto (CISA) a Roma la presentazione del libro "Interiorità e responsabilità: un itinerario a Dio tra Husserl, Stein e Levinas" di Don Giorgio Copertino, pubblicato dalle Edizioni Carmelitane. Durante l'evento sono intervenuti i professori Angela Ales Bello, Emilio Baccarini e Craig Morrison, O.Carm., commentando gli aspetti principali dell'opera.
Il 13 dicembre, accompagnato da P. Mario Alfarano, O.Carm., Delegato Generale per le monache e da P. Alberto De Giuli, O.Carm., priore della comunità di Bologna, il Priore Generale ha presieduto l'eucaristia nella cappella di "Via Saragozza", in occasione della fusione delle Suore Carmelitane delle Grazie (SCG) e dell'Istituto di Nostra Signora del Carmelo (INSC). Alla fine della cerimonia ha consegnato la piccola croce di legno e le Costituzioni dell'Istituto di Nostra Signora del Carmelo alle suore delle Grazie e si è data lettura del decreto della fusione (Citoc 117/2014).
Sabato, 20 dicembre, il Priore Generale ha partecipato, accompagnato da P. Saverio Cannistrà, OCD., Preposito Generale dei Carmelitani Scalzi, da P. Christian Körner, O.Carm., Vice Priore Generale, e P. Roberto Toni, O.Carm., Priore Provinciale d'Italia e vari carmelitani della comunità di San Martino, alla prima del musical “In viaggio verso Albertus & Carmel”. È stato presentato dalla celebre attrice italiana Claudia Koll, dalla soprano Felicia Bongiovanni e dai ballerini della Star Rose Academy. I testi dell'opera sono stati scritti dalle eremite carmelitane suor Mariarosaria Calabrese e suor Mariagiulia Verdi. Il musical, che sarà eseguito nel corso dei prossimi anni in altre città italiane, mostra vari momenti della vita di Sant'Alberto, Patriarca di Gerusalemme. 
Dal 26 al 27 dicembre il Priore Generale ha presieduto a Caudete, Albacete in Spagna, vari eventi in occasione del I centenario del monastero. Dopo l'eucaristia solenne di ringraziamento vari carmelitani hanno accompagnato in processione l'immagine della "Virgen de Gracia", la Patrona di Caudete e del monastero, che si trovava durante le celebrazioni nella cappella del monastero. In seguito il Priore Generale ha visitato il monastero di Onteniente, Valencia in Spagna, da cui cento anni fa sono venute le fondatrici del monastero di Caudete. Durante questo periodo ha visitato anche il monastero di Carpineto Romano in Italia.
