The General Congregation in Fatima - continuation
On Monday the 26th of September the work of the General Congregation in Fatima continued. In the morning, the participants heard a presentation of a demographic study of the Order carried out by Ms Helen Harrington. The information contained in the study gave rise to a rich exchange of views and opinions. This was followed by a report by Fr. Michael Farrugia, O.Carm., as the Legal Representative and Fr. Carl Markelz, O.Carm., the Bursar General, on the situation of the Domus Carmelitana. In the afternoon, the leaders of the geographical area of the Americas met together.
The morning of Tuesday the 27th of September, was taken up with the revision of the Constitutions of the Order, that is underway. Following Fr.Michael Farrugia’s introduction. a number of questions were discussed in linguistic groups. In the afternoon the issue of the percentage contributions of the provinces and commissariats to the central administration of the Order was explained and discussed.
On Wednesday, the 28th, the entire day was devoted to the meetings of geographical areas and regions.

Congregación General de Fátima - continuación
El lunes 26 de septiembre continuaron los trabajos de la Congregación General que se está celebrando en Fátima. En la mañana tuvo lugar la presentación del estudio demográfico de la Orden llevado a cabo por la señora Helen Harrington sobre el que se estableció un interesante diálogo con la asamblea. Asimismo, Michael Farrugia, O.Carm., como Representante legal y Carl Markelz, O.Carm., como Ecónomo general informaron acerca de la “Domus Carmelitana”. Por la tarde tuvo lugar la reunión de los superiores de la zona geográfica de las Américas.
La mañana del martes 27 fue dedicada al proceso de revisión de las Constituciones que se está llevando a cabo. Tras la presentación del P. Farrugia, algunas cuestiones fueron estudiadas en los grupos lingüísticos. Por la tarde se estudió el tema de los porcentajes en la contribución de las provincias y comisariados a la administración central de la Orden.
El miércoles 28 estuvo dedicado por entero a la reunión de grupos por zonas geográficas.

Congregazione Generale a Fatima - continuazione
Lunedì, 26 settembre, la Congregazione Generale in corso a Fatima ha ripreso il suo lavoro. La mattina la Sig.na Helen Harrington ha presentato lo studio demografico dell'Ordine, che ha suscitato un interessante dibattito dell'assemblea. In seguito P. Michael Farrugia, O.Carm., in qualità di Rappresentante legale, e l'Economo Generale P. Carl Markelz, hanno informato sullo stato della "Domus Carmelitana". Durante il pomeriggio si è poi svolto l'incontro dei superiori dell'area geografica delle Americhe.
La mattinata del martedì, 27 settembre, è stata dedicata al processo di revisione delle Costituzioni, alcuni punti delle quali, dopo la presentazione di P. Michael Farrugia, sono stati studiati nei gruppi linguistici. Nel pomeriggio sono poi state esaminate le percentuali dei contributi delle province e commissariati all’amministrazione centrale dell'Ordine.
L'intera giornata del 28 settembre è stata dedicata alle riunioni delle aree geografiche.
