A Meeting of the International Secretariat for Carmelite Nuns
From the 20th to the 23rd of September, the second meeting of the International Secretariat for Carmelite Nuns took place at the General Curia in Rome. Those who took part were, Fr. Mario Alfarano (Delegate General for Carmelite Nuns), Sr. M. Pilar Simon i Blasco (BAR), Sr. Inés M. Carmona Ortiz (TRU), Sr. M. Elena Tolentino (BUR, federal leader of the Philippines), Sr. Liliana Campos Rosa (ANT), Sr. Marianna Caprio (VET), Fr. Paul Denault (SEL). The work began with an introduction to the Apostolic Constitution on the life of women contemplatives, Vultum Dei quaerere. That was followed by the work of synthesising the responses of the monasteries to the CIVCSVA, that the Delegate received. This synthesis was further developed and now it is ready to be sent to all the monasteries in order to continue the process of the revision of the Constitutions of the Carmelite Nuns. In addition, the first international course of ongoing formation for nuns, on the theme of St. Mary Magdalene de’Pazzi, was organised. It will take place in May 2017. More information will be given at a later date. Finally, the work of producing an on-line bulletin and a Vademecum for all the monasteries was initiated.

Encuentro del Secretariado Internacional para las Monjas
Del 20 al 23 del pasado mes de septiembre ha tenido lugar en la Curia General el segundo encuentro del Secretariado Internacional para las Monjas Carmelitas. Asistieron el P. Mario Alfarano (delegado general para las monjas), Sor M. Pilar Simon i Blasco (BAR), Sor Inés Mª Carmona Ortiz (TRU), Sor Mª Elena Tolentino (BUR, federal de Filipinas), Sor Liliana Campos Rosa (ANT), Sor Marianna Caprio (VET) y el P. Paul Donault (SEL). El trabajo se inició con la presentación de la Constitución Apostólica sobre la vida contemplativa femenina Vultum Dei quaerere. A continuación se presentó la síntesis de las respuestas de los monasterios a la CIVCSVA recibidas por el Delegado. Esta síntesis se ha desarrollado posteriormente y será enviada a todos los monasterios para continuar el proceso de revisión de las Constituciones de las Monjas. También se planificó el primer curso internacional de formación permanente para las monjas sobre Santa María Magdalena de Pazzi, el cual tendrá lugar en el mes de mayo de 2017. Más adelante se ofrecerá más información. Finalmente se concluyó la preparación de un boletín on-line y de un Vademecum para todos los monasterios.

Incontro del Segretariato Internazionale per le Monache
Dal 20 al 23 settembre passato si è svolto a Roma, nella Curia Generale, il secondo incontro del Segretariato Internazionale per le Monache Carmelitane. Erano presenti: P. Mario Alfarano (delegato generale per le monache), Sr. M. Pilar Simon i Blasco (BAR), Sr. Inés M. Carmona Ortiz (TRU), Sr. M. Elena Tolentino (BUR, federale delle Filippine), Sr. Liliana Campos Rosa (ANT), Sr. Marianna Caprio (VET), P. Paul Denault (SEL). I lavori sono iniziati con una presentazione della Costituzione Apostolica sulla vita contemplativa femminile Vultum Dei quaerere. Di seguito è stata fatta la sintesi di tutte le risposte dei monasteri alla CIVCSVA pervenute al Delegato. Questa sintesi è stata ulteriormente sviluppata e verrà inviata a tutti i monasteri per continuare il processo di revisione delle Costituzioni delle Monache. Inoltre, è stato organizzato il primo corso internazionale di formazione permanente delle monache su S. Maria Maddalena de’ Pazzi che si terrà nel mese di maggio del 2017. Più in là verranno date maggiori informazioni. Infine, è stato avviato il lavoro di preparazione di un bollettino on-line e di un Vademecum per tutti i monasteri.
