A Meeting of the General Council
The most recent meeting of the General Council took place from the 29th of August to the 8th of September. In addition to the various items of ordinary administration, and to hearing the reports of the General Councillors, the members began to reflect on the 2019 General Chapter. As a result of some extensive discernment and fraternal exchange the Council decided upon the theme of the General Chapter, as follows:

 “«You are my witnesses» (Is 43,10); from one generation to the next: called to be faithful to our Carmelite charism”.

This General Chapter will be held in September, 2019 at Sassone, in Italy. The precise date will be published later, while the Preparatory Commission will be appointed at the next plenary meeting due to be held in December.

The Council also confirmed Fr. Christian Körner, O. Carm. as  "administrator pro-tempore" of the office of the Bursar General

Reunión del Consejo General
La última reunión del Consejo General tuvo lugar del 28 de agosto al 8 de septiembre. Además de despachar los diversos temas de administración ordinaria y de escuchar los informes de los Consejeros Generales, se tuvo una reflexión inicial sobre el Capitulo General 2019. Después de un amplio discernimiento y de un fraterno intercambio, el Consejo decidió que el tema del Capítulo General será:

“«Vosotros sois mis testigos» (Is 43,10); de generación en generación: llamados a ser fieles a nuestro carisma carmelita”.

El Capítulo General se celebrará durante el mes de septiembre de 2019 en Sassone, Italia. Próximamente se comunicará la fecha exacta, y en la reunión plenaria de diciembre se nombrará la Comisión preparatoria.

El Consejo General también ha confirmado al P. Christian Körner, O. Carm. como “administrador pro tempore” de la Economía General.

Riunione del Consiglio Generale
L’ultima riunione del Consiglio Generale si è tenuta dal 29 agosto all’8 settembre. Oltre il disbrigo dei diversi temi di ordinaria amministrazione e l’ascolto delle relazioni dei Consiglieri Generali, si è cominciato a riflettere sul Capitolo Generale 2019. Dopo un ampio discernimento e un confronto fraterno, il Consiglio ha deciso che il Capitolo Generale avrà il seguente tema:

 “«Voi siete i miei testimoni» (Is 43,10); da una generazione all’altra: chiamati ad essere fedeli al nostro carisma carmelitano".

Il Capitolo Generale sarà celebrato nel mese di settembre 2019 a Sassone, Italia. La data esatta verrà comunicata successivamente, mentre la Commissione preparatoria sarà nominata durante la riunione plenaria di dicembre.

Il Consiglio ha inoltre confermato P. Christian Körner, O. Carm. "amministratore pro-tempore" dell’Economato Generale.
