News from the office of the Postulator
On the 1st of November, All Saints Day, at 17.00 hrs, in the Cathedral of St. John in Valetta (Malta), in the presence of the Archbishop of Malta, Charles J. Scicluna, the solemn closing of the Diocesan Inquiry into the life, virtues, reputation for holiness and signs of the Servant of God, Fr. Avertan Fenech, O.Carm., was marked. Fr. Avertan died in the odour of holiness on the 1st of November, 1943.
On the 4th of November the Acts of the Diocesan Inquiry will be given to the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints, which marks the beginning of the Roman phase of the cause for beatification and canonisation. It is hoped that within a short time, there will be a positive result to the Cause in the form of a recognition of the heroic virtues of the Servant of God as we await a miracle that will then allow the process to proceed towards beatification.

Noticias de la Postulación
El día 1 de noviembre, solemnidad de Todos los Santos, a las 17 horas, se celebrará en la Concatedral de San Juan de la Valetta (Malta), ante la presencia de Su Excelencia Reverendísima Mons. Carles J. Scicluna, Arzobispo de Malta, la solemne clausura de la Investigación diocesana  sobre la vida, virtudes, fama de santidad y milagros del Siervo de Dios P. Avertan Fenech, O.Carm., muerto en olor de santidad el 1 de noviembre de 1943.
El 4 de noviembre serán entregadas a la Congregación para la Causa de los Santos las Actas de la Investigación diocesana para la puesta en marcha de la fase romana de la Causa de beatificación y canonización. Esperamos que en breve tiempo la Causa tenga un feliz resultado por el reconocimiento de las virtudes heróicas practicadas por el Sirvo de Dios durante su vida, mientras esperamos que se produzca un milagro que nos permita ponernos en camino hacia la beatificación.

Notizie dalla Postulazione
Il giorno 1° novembre, nella solennità di Tutti i Santi, alle ore 17.00 presso la Concattedrale di San Giovanni a La Valletta (Malta), alla presenza di Sua Eccellenza Reverendissima Mons. Charles J. Scicluna, Arcivescovo di Malta, si celebrerà la solenne chiusura dell’Inchiesta diocesana sulla vita, virtù, fama di santità e di segni del Servo di Dio p. Avertan Fenech, O.Carm., morto in concetto di santità il 1° novembre 1943.
Il giorno 4 novembre gli Atti dell’Inchiesta diocesana saranno consegnati alla Congregazione per le Cause dei Santi per l’avvio della fase romana della Causa di beatificazione e canonizzazione. Auspichiamo in breve tempo un felice esito della Causa per il riconoscimento delle virtù eroiche esercitate dal Servo di Dio nella sua vita, in attesa di un miracolo che ci consentirà di procedere nella via della beatificazione.
