91st General Assembly of the USG
The past 21-23 November in the "Casa Divin Maestro" of Ariccia (Rome, Italy) the 91st biannual Assembly of the Union of Superiors General (USG) took place. Its theme was: "Young people, faith , discernment. We start again from the Synod " In it the members of the USG who participated in the Synod of Bishops in October shared with the assembly their experiences of it whereupon the various groups analyzed some of the fundamental ideas of the final document. Likewise, the members reflected on how to live and develop the key ideas of the document in the different religious families. The two superior generals, Fernando Millán Romeral, OCarm., and Saverio Cannistrà, OCD, participated on behalf of the Carmelite family.
The assembly elected as the new President of the Union, Fr. Arturo Sosa, SJ and as Vice President, Fr. Michael Brehl, CSsR. Likewise, the representatives of the various "categories" of monks, mendicants, canons regular, clerical congregations, etc., were elected to the Executive Council.

91ª Asamblea general de la USG
Los pasados días 21 al 23 de noviembre ha tenido lugar en la “Casa Divin Maestro” de Ariccia (Roma, Italia) la 91ª Asamblea semestral de la Unión de Superiores Generales (USG) en la que se abordó el tema: “Jóvenes, fe, discernimiento. Partimos de nuevo desde el Sínodo”. En la misma los miembros de la USG que participaron en la Asamblea del Sínodo en octubre compartieron con la asamblea sus experiencias del mismo y los diversos grupos analizaron algunas de las ideas fundamentales del documento final. Asimismo, se ha reflexionado acerca de cómo vivir y desarrollar las ideas clave del documento en las distintas familias religiosas. Por la familia carmelita participaron los dos superiores generales, Fernando Millán Romeral, OCarm., y Saverio Cannistrà, OCD.
La asamblea ha elegido al nuevo Presidente de la Unión (P. Arturo Sosa, SJ) y al Vicepresidente de la misma (P. Michael Brehl, CSsR). Asimismo, se han elegido los representantes de las diversas “categorías” (monjes, mendicantes, canónigos regulares, congregaciones clericales, etc) en el Consejo Ejecutivo.

91ª Assemblea della USG
Dal 21 al 23 novembre si è svolta, presso la "Casa Divin Maestro" di Ariccia, Roma, Italia, la 91ª Assemblea semestrale della Unione dei Superiori Generali (USG). Il tema centrale è stato il seguente: "Giovani, fede, discernimento. Ripartiamo dal Sinodo". I membri della USG che lo scorso ottobre hanno partecipato all'Assemblea del Sinodo hanno condiviso con l'assemblea la loro esperienza e i vari gruppi hanno analizzato alcune delle idee fondamentali del documento finale. Si è riflettuto inoltre su come vivere e sviluppare, in seno alle varie famiglie religiose, le idee chiave del documento. Per la Famiglia Carmelitana hanno partecipato i due Superiori Generali, Fernando Millán Romeral, OCarm., e Saverio Cannistrà, OCD.
L'Assemblea ha eletto come nuovo Presidente dell'Unione P. Arturo Sosa, SJ e come Vicepresidente P. Michael Brehl, CSsR. Sono stati eletti anche i rappresentanti delle diverse “categorie” (monaci, mendicanti, canonici regolari, congregazioni clericali, etc.) per il Consiglio Esecutivo.
