The Survival of the Documents of St. Titus Brandsma Father Adriaan Staring, O. Carm., as postulator general of the Carmelite Order, was responsible for obtaining reliable and relevant documents to be used in the process of canonization of Titus Brandsma. Was it 'happy coincidence or providence' that so many of the important documents survived the war and its aftermath. Here is the incredible story of their survival. . . . Titus Brandsma, Saint of Oss Father Titus lived in Oss from 1909 to 1923. Today Titus is remembered in Oss, especially as a socially engaged Carmelite. He wanted to elevate the little people and offer them chances for the future. He took initiatives to improve the lot of the poor and involved the well-to-do citizens in this. Above all, Titus wanted a harmonious community in which people could be themselves and build a future. He was a builder of “community spirit.” He was a unifying force in the years of rising industry that brought bitter poverty. . . . Titus Brandsma, santo de Oss El padre Titus vivió en Oss desde 1909 hasta 1923. En la actualidad, Tito es recordado en Oss, sobre todo como un carmelita comprometido socialmente. Quería hacer progresar a los más desfavorecidos y ofrecerles oportunidades de futuro. Tomó iniciativas para mejorar la suerte de los pobres e implicó en ello a los ciudadanos más pudientes.
