General Congregation of Order Being Held September 5-16

The General Congregation of the Order will take place from Monday, September 5th until Friday, September 16. This year the meeting will be held at Villa Aurelia, near the Vatican in Rome. The theme of the gathering is Gift and Mission: The Radical Witness of Consecrated Carmelites in the World of Today. “By This Everyone will Know that Your are My Disciples” (Jn 13: 35).

General Congregations are held every three years before a General Chapter to discuss matters of common interest to the whole Order.

Se celebra la Congregación General en Roma

La Congregación General de la Orden tendrá lugar del lunes 5 al viernes 16 de septiembre. Este año la reunión se celebrará en Villa Aurelia, cerca del Vaticano, en Roma. El tema de la reunión es: Don y misión: Testimonio radical de los carmelitas consagrados en el mundo de hoy. “Por esto sabrán todos que sois mis discípulos” (Jn. 13, 35).

Las Congregaciones Generales se celebran cada tres años, antes de un Capítulo General, para discutir asuntos de interés común para toda la Orden.

Congregazione generale dal 5 al 16 settembre a Roma

La Congregazione Generale dell'Ordine si terrà da lunedì 5 settembre a venerdì 16 settembre. Quest'anno l'incontro si terrà a Villa Aurelia, vicino al Vaticano, a Roma. Il tema del incontro è: Dono e Missione: La testimonianza radicale dei Carmelitani consacrati nel mondo di oggi. “Da questo tutti sapranno che siete miei discepoli” (Gv 13, 35).

Le Congregazioni generali si tengono ogni tre anni, prima del Capitolo generale, per discutere questioni di interesse comune per tutto l'Ordine.
