Letter of Prior General to the Order for World Youth Day 2023 The young people of the Order and those who work with them are invited to World Youth Day 2023 on August 1-6, 2023. The event will take place in Lisbon, Portugal. The scripture passage «Mary arose and went with haste» (Lk 1: 39) was chosen by Pope Francis as the motto of the World Youth Day. For the occasion of WYD 2023, Míċeál O'Neill, the prior general of the Order, is sending a message to encourage young people and Carmelites who work with them to participate in the celebrations. Read more .... + + + Carta del Prior General por la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud 2023 Quedan menos de 300 días para que miles de jóvenes de los cuatro rincones del mundo se den cita en Lisboa en la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud 2023. La invitación está abierta para unirse a cantar y celebrar con una sola voz del 1 al 6 de agosto de 2023. “María se levantó y partió sin demora” (Lc 1, 39) es la cita bíblica elegida por el Papa Francisco como lema de la JMJ, que tendrá lugar por primera vez en Lisboa, capital de Portugal. Con motivo de la JMJ 2023, Míċeál O'Neill, Prior General de la Orden, ha querido enviar un mensaje para animar a los jóvenes y a los carmelitas que trabajan con ellos a participar en las celebraciones.
