Elective Chapter of the Monastery of St. Joseph in Palangkaraya, Indonesia On March 12, 2023, the Monastery of St. Joseph in the Diocese of Palangkaraya, Indonesia, held its second elective chapter. Upon the request of the bishop of the Diocese of Banjarmasin in 1993, five nuns fom the Flower of Carmel monastery in Batu founded the monastery of St. Joseph. In 1993, when the Diocese of Palangkaraya was established, the monastery became part of the new diocese. The monastery was dedicated on October 7, 2001. The decree of canonical establishment was received on November 18, 2019. The results of the elective chapter were as follows:
Capítulo electivo del Monasterio de San José en Palangkaraya, Indonesia El 12 de marzo de 2023, el Monasterio de San José en la Diócesis de Palangkaraya, Indonesia, celebró su segundo capítulo electivo. A petición del obispo de la diócesis de Banjarmasin en 1993, cinco monjas del monasterio de la Flor del Carmen en Batu fundaron el monasterio de San José. En 1993, cuando se estableció la Diócesis de Palangkaraya, el monasterio pasó a formar parte de la nueva diócesis. El monasterio fue dedicado el 7 de octubre de 2001. Su richiesta del vescovo della diocesi di Banjarmasin nel 1993, cinque suore del monastero del Fiore del Carmelo a Batu fondarono il monastero di San Giuseppe.
