Fifth Sunday of Easter

In the opening words of the Gospel (John 14: 1-12) Jesus calls the disciples to trust him and to trust God. He does so in the context of announcing his departure to them.

Jesus calls them to trust him as the way to the God, the living truth about the God and the very life of God.

Quinto Domingo de Pasqua

En las primeras palabras del Evangelio (Juan 14: 1-12), Jesús llama a sus discípulos a confiar en él y en Dios. Lo hace en el contexto del anuncio de su partida.

Jesús les llama a confiar en él como el camino que lleva a Dios, la verdad viva de Dios y la vida misma de Dios.

Quinta Domenica di Pasqua

Nelle parole iniziali del Vangelo (Gv 14:1-12), Gesù chiama i discepoli a fidarsi di lui e a fidarsi di Dio. Lo fa nel contesto dell’annuncio della sua partenza da loro.

In un certo senso, Gesù è la nostra cartina, la nostra guida e la meta del nostro viaggio. Ma arrivare alla meta non è qualcosa che accadrà solo in cielo.

Quinto Domingo da Páscoa

Nas primeiras palavras do Evangelho (Jo 14: 1-14), Jesus chama os seus discípulos a confiarem n’Ele e em Deus. Faz no contexto do anúncio da sua saída.

Jesus os chama a confiar n’Ele como o caminho que conduz a Deus, a verdade viva de Deus, a própria vida de Deus.
