Bl. Archangela took the Carmelite habit in the monastery of Parma in 1477 at the age of 17 where she took the name Archangela. She eventually became prioress of the monastery at Parma, and then prioress at the new foundation at Mantua from 1492 until her death.

It is written in an old manuscript that Blessed Archangela lived her religious life so intensely that, just as the monastery was entitled "Saint Mary in Paradise", she and the other nuns, even though still here on earth, lived as if already absorbed into heaven.

B. Archangela tomó el hábito de Carmelita en el monasterio de Parma en 1477 a la edad de 17  donde tomó el nombre Archangela. Eventualmente se hizo priora del monasterio en Parma, y  después la priora de una nueva fundación en Mantua, desde 1492 hasta su muerte.

Está escrito en un antiguo manuscrito que la B. Archangela vivió su vida religiosa tan  intensamente que, como el monasterio se llama “Santa María en el Paraíso,” ella y las otras  monjas, aunque todavía aquí en la tierra, vivían como si ya estuviesen absortas en el cielo.

B. Arcangela prese l’abito carmelitano nel monastero di Parma nel 1477 all’età di 17 anni, dove prese il nome di Arcangela. Divenne poi priora del monastero di Parma, e successivamente priora della nuova fondazione di Mantova dal 1492 fino alla morte.

In un antico manoscritto troviamo scritto che la Beata Arcangela visse la sua vita religiosa così intensamente che, così come il monastero era intitolato a “Santa Maria in Paradiso”, lei e le altre monache, anche se ancora qui sulla terra, vivevano come se fossero già assorbite dal cielo.
