2025 General Chapter Convoked by the Prior General
September 9-26, 2025 | Malang, Indonesia

The Prior General Míċeál O’Neill convoked the 2025 General Chapter by letter on May 16, the feast of St. Simon Stock. The meeting will take place September 9-26, 2025, at the Harris Convention Center in Malang, Indonesia.

The General Council chose You Must Have Some Sort of Work to Do (Rule 20): Our Contemplative Fraternity Discerns Its Mission as the theme for the Chapter. Building on previous work done studying the Order’s history and traditions, “the 2025 General Chapter will focus its attention on those chapters of our Constitutions that deal with our mission in the world and in the Church, worldwide, and local,” wrote Fr. Míċeál. Numbers 94, 97, and 101 of the Carmelite Constitutions are specifically highlighted.

El Prior General convoca el Capítulo General de 2025
9-26 de septiembre de 2025 | Malang, Indonesia

El Prior General Míċeál O'Neill convocó por carta el Capítulo General de 2025 el 16 de mayo, fiesta de San Simón Stock. La reunión tendrá lugar del 9 al 26 de septiembre de 2025 en el Harris Convention Center de Malang (Indonesia). 

El Consejo General eligió como tema para el Capítulo «Debes tener algún trabajo que hacer» (Regla 20): Nuestra fraternidad contemplativa discierne su misión. Partiendo de un trabajo previo de estudio de la historia y las tradiciones de la Orden, "el Capítulo General de 2025 centrará su atención en aquellos capítulos de nuestras Constituciones que tratan de nuestra misión en el mundo y en la Iglesia, a nivel global y local", escribió el P. Míċeál. Se destacan específicamente los números 94, 97 y 101 de las Constituciones carmelitas.

Il Priore Generale Míċeál O'Neill ha convocato il Capitolo Generale del 2025 con lettera del 16 maggio, festa di San Simone Stock. L'incontro si terrà dal 9 al 26 settembre 2025 presso l'Harris Convention Center di Malang, in Indonesia.

Il Consiglio generale ha scelto come tema del Capitolo “Devi avere qualche lavoro da fare” (Regola 20): La nostra fraternità contemplativa discerne la sua missione. Sulla base del precedente lavoro di studio della storia e delle tradizioni dell'Ordine, "il Capitolo generale del 2025 concentrerà la sua attenzione sui capitoli delle nostre Costituzioni che riguardano la nostra missione nel mondo e nella Chiesa, a livello globale e locale", ha scritto p. Míċeál. I numeri 94, 97 e 101 delle Costituzioni carmelitane sono evidenziati in modo specifico.
