The Carmelite Nuns in Caudete Celebrate Their Elective Chapter On June 14, 2024, feast of St. Elisha, the elective Chapter of the Carmelite nuns of the Monastery of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of Grace, in Caudete, Spain, took place. The monastery was founded by the Carmelite Ioanne Baptista Feliu on December 22, 1914, with nuns from Onteniente, Spain, including his own sibling, Joachima Feliu. They were expelled in the revolution of 1931. They were forced again to abandon the monastery during the Spanish Civil War and returned to find both church and monastery in ruins. The monastery is part of the Mater Unitatis Federation. The results of the elective chapter were as follows: + + +
Las monjas carmelitas de Caudete celebran su Capítulo Electivo El 14 de junio de 2024, festividad de San Eliseo, tuvo lugar el Capítulo electivo de las monjas carmelitas del Monasterio del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y Nuestra Señora de Gracia, en Caudete, España. El monasterio fue fundado por el carmelita Ioanne Baptista Feliu el 22 de diciembre de 1914, con monjas de Onteniente, España, entre ellas su propia hermana, Joachima Feliu. Fueron expulsadas en la revolución de 1931. Se vieron obligadas de nuevo a abandonar el monasterio durante la Guerra Civil española y regresaron para encontrar tanto la iglesia como el monasterio en ruinas. El monasterio pertenece a la Federación Mater Unitatis. Los resultados del capítulo electivo fueron los siguientes: + + +
Le monache carmelitane a Caudete, Spagna hanno celebrato il loro Capitolo elettivo Il 14 giugno 2024, festa di Sant'Eliseo, si è svolto il Capitolo elettivo delle monache carmelitane del Monastero del Sacro Cuore di Gesù e Nostra Signora delle Grazie, a Caudete, in Spagna. Il monastero fu fondato dal carmelitano Ioanne Baptista Feliu il 22 dicembre 1914, con monache provenienti dall'Onteniente, in Spagna, tra cui la sorella Joachima Feliu. Furono espulse durante la rivoluzione del 1931. Furono costrette ad abbandonare il monastero durante la guerra civile spagnola e tornarono per trovare la chiesa e il monastero in rovina.
