A Meeting of European Provincials
A meeting was held in Sassone, Italy, from the 30th of April to the 2nd of May, that involved the Priors Provincial, the Commissary General, and the Delagates General of Europe. The meeting heard three inputs: Fr. Michael Paul Gallagher, S.J. spoke on the topic, “What hope is there for the faith in Europe?”; Günter Benker, O.Carm, on the topic of formation under the title, “I will lure her into the desert. Challenges for Carmelite Formation Today”, and the Prior General, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm.  The participants shared information on the present situation in different parts of the Order in Europe, paying particular attention to the immediate future and to Carmelite formation. The discussions revealed the precarious nature of what is happening in the areas of vocation and formation. They further identified the need for reciprocal assistance, in order to make more effective and give better witness by the life of our communities and the formation that is given to candidates. At the end of the meeting, the Priors Provincial, Commissary General and Delegates General approved three proposals that will be important for the future.

Encuentro de los Provinciales de Europa
Del 30 de abril al 2 de mayo se reunieron en Sassone, Italia, los Priores Provinciales, Comisarios Generales y Delegados Generales de Europa.
En el encuentro intervinieron Michael Gallagher SJ (“Qué esperanza para la fe en Europa”), Günter Benker O.Carm. (“La llevaré al desierto. Retos para el Carmelo y para la formación hoy”) y el Prior General, P. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm.
Los participantes intercambiaron informaciones sobre la situación de las diversas presencias de la Orden en Europa, prestando especial atención al futuro inmediato y a la formación carmelitana. Los debates dejaron de manifiesto la precariedad en los campos de las vocaciones y de la formación. Se constató igualmente la necesidad de la ayuda mutua, para conseguir que la vida de las comunidades  formativas y la formación misma de los candidatos sea más eficaz y testimonial. Al final del encuentro los Priores Provinciales, Comisarios Generales y Delegados Generales de Europa aprobaron tres acuerdos concretos de cara al futuro.

Incontro dei Provinciali europei
Dal 30 aprile al 2 maggio si sono riuniti a Sassone, Italia, i Priori Provinciali, i Commissari Generali e i Delegati Generali d'Europa. Sono stati presentati tre interventi di Michael Paul Gallagher SJ ("Quale speranza per la fede in Europa?"), Günter Benker O.Carm. ("La attirerò nel deserto. Sfide per il Carmelo e la formazione oggi") e del Priore Generale, P. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm.
I partecipanti hanno scambiato informazioni sulla situazione nelle diverse realtà dell'Ordine in Europa, con particolare attenzione al futuro immediato e alla formazione carmelitana. La discussione ha rilevato la precarietà nei campi delle vocazioni e della formazione. Inoltre ha evidenziato la necessità di un aiuto reciproco, che renda più efficace e di testimonianza la vita delle comunità formative e la stessa formazione dei candidati. Al termine della riunione i Priori Provinciali, i Commissari Generali e i Delegati Generali europei hanno votato tre accordi concreti in vista del futuro.
