Assembly of the French Delegation marking 25 years of foundation
On the 13th May, 2014, the Prior General, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral,  O.Carm. and the Councillor General for Europe, John Keating, O.Carm. attended the Assembly of the French Delegation which took place at Notre Dame de Lumières, Nantes. The occasion marking 25 years since the re-foundation in France afforded each member of the communities of Nantes and Angers an opportunity to reflect on this experience and to look towards the future. The three young French friars, Fr. Yves de Sainte Marie, Bros. Martin de la Croix and Elie presented the situation of Carmel in France now while the two friars who have served from beginning, Frs. Gianfranco Tuveri (Ita) and Jordi Prunera (Cat), together with the present Delegate, Fr. Klaus Schenkelberger (Ger) and Fr. Terence Cyr (PCM) contributed from their experience of many years in the French Delegation. Other celebrations have marked this 25th anniversary both in Nantes and in Angers. Bro. Martin will be ordained for priestly ministry in Nantes on the 31st May 2014.
The Prior General in closing the Assembly thanked the members for their service to the Order and acknowledged with gratitude the presence of Frs. Pascal Sawadogo (Bet/BF) and Andreas Dedy Purnawan (Indo). Many others have worked in the Delegation over the years and the General Council wishes to also acknowledge their important contribution to the restoration of the Carmelite Order in France.

Asamblea de la Delegación de Francia con motivo de los 25 años de su fundación
El pasado 13 de mayo, el Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., y el Consejero General para Europa, John Keating, O.Carm., participaron en la asamblea de la Delegación General de Francia que tuvo lugar en nuestro convento de “Notre Dame de Lumières” en Nantes. En esta ocasión se celebraban los 25 años de la refundación de los carmelitas en Francia, por lo cual, los miembros de las comunidades de Angers y Nantes tuvieron ocasión de reflexionar juntos sobre la experiencia de estos años y sobre el futuro de la Delegación. Los tres jóvenes frailes franceses (el P. Yves de Sainte Marie, Fr. Martin de la Croix y Fr. Elie) presentaron la situación actual del Carmelo en Francia. Por su parte, los dos hermanos que han trabajado en la Delegación desde el principio, padres Gianfranco Tuveri (Ita) y Jordi Prunera (Cat), junto al actual Delegado, P. Klaus Schenkelberger (Ger) y al P. Terence Cyr (PCM), compartieron su experiencia de estos años en dicha Delegación. Otra serie de actos han servido para conmemorar este aniversario, tanto en Nantes como en Angers. Además, Fr. Martin será ordenado sacerdote el próximo 31 de mayo en Nantes.
El Prior General, en su discurso final a la asamblea, agradeció a todos los miembros de la delegación su estupendo servicio a la Oren y mostró asimismo su gratitud por la presencia en la misma de los padres Pascal Sawadogo (Bet/BF) y Andreas Dedy Purnawan (Indo). Junto a los demás carmelitas de todo el mundo que han trabajado durante estos años en la Delegación de Francia, el Consejo General quiere agradecerles su importante contribución a la restauración del Carmelo en Francia.

Assemblea della Delegazione di Francia in occasione del 25° anniversario della fondazione
Il 13 maggio scorso, il Priore Generale P. Fernando Millán Romeral O.Carm., e il Consigliere Generale per Europa, P. John Keating, O.Carm., hanno partecipato  all'assemblea della Delegazione Generale di Francia che si è tenuta nel convento di “Notre Dame de Lumières” a Nantes. L'occasione della celebrazione dei 25 anni della rifondazione in Francia è stata per i membri delle comunità di Nantes e Angers l'opportunità per riflettere insieme sull'esperienza passata e guardare verso il futuro. I tre giovani frati francesi P. Yves de Sainte Marie, fra Martin de la Croix e fra Elie, hanno presentato la situazione attuale del Carmelo in Francia, mentre i due frati che hanno lavorato nella Delegazione dall'Inizio, P. Gianfranco Tuveri (Ita) e P. Jordi Prunera (Cat), insieme con l'attuale delegato, P. Klaus Schenkelberger (Ger), e P. Terence Cyr (PCM) hanno condiviso la loro esperienza di tanti anni nella Delegazione francese. A Nantes e Angers si sono svolte anche altre celebrazioni per il 25° anniversario. Inoltre, il 31 maggio 2014 a Nantes, sarà ordinato sacerdote fra Martin.
Al termine dell'assemblea, il Priore Generale ha ringraziato i membri della Delegazione per il servizio all'Ordine e ha espresso la sua gratitudine per la presenza dei PP. Pascal Sawadogo (Bet/BF) e Andreas Dedy Purnawan (Indo). Tanti altri frati hanno lavorato nella Delegazione di Francia nel corso degli anni e il Consiglio Generale riconosce il loro importante contributo per la restaurazione del Carmelo in Francia.
