A Letter to Mark the First Anniversary of the Beatification of Our Martyrs
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the beatification of the ten martyrs of the Betica Province (Carmelo Moyano and companions) and the nine martyrs of the Province of Castile (Alberto Maria Marco y Aleman and companions), the Prior General, Fernando Millan Romeral, O.Carm. has written a letter to the whole Carmelite family, with the title, “Thank you for the martyrs that you have given to the church”. This expression is contained in a message that Pope Francis directed to the Superiors General (USG) at the end of the meeting he had with them on the 29th of Noveber, 2013, shortly after that same beatification in Tarragona (Spain) on the 13th of October, 2013. In this letter, the Prior General reflects upon the message that the witness of these brothers of ours offers to Carmel in the 21st century. Carta en el primer aniversario de la beatificación de nuestros mártires
Con motivo del primer aniversario de la beatificación de los diez mártires de la Provincia Bética (Carmelo Moyano y compañeros) y los nueve mártires de la Provincia de Castilla (Alberto María Marco y Alemán y compañeros), el Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., ha enviado una carta a toda la familia carmelita, titulada: “Gracias por los mártires que dan a la Iglesia…” Se trata de una frase que el Papa Francisco dirigió a los Superiores Generales (USG), al terminar el encuentro que mantuvo con ellos el 29 de noviembre de 2013, poco después de dicha beatificación que tuvo lugar en Tarragona (España) el 13 de octubre de 2013. En esta carta, el Prior General reflexiona acerca del mensaje que el testimonio de estos hermanos nuestros lanza al Carmelo del siglo XXI. Fernando MillánRomeral, O.Carm., ha scritto a tutta la Famiglia Carmelitana una lettera intitolata: “Grazie per i martiri che danno alla Chiesa …” Si tratta di una frase di Papa Francesco ai Superiori Generali (USG) alla fine dell’incontro che si è svolto il 29 novembre 2013, poco dopo la beatificazione del 13 ottobre 2013 a Tarragona in Spagna. Nella lettera il Priore Generale riflette sul messaggio che la testimonianza di questi fratelli rivolge al Carmelo del secolo XXI.
