Citoc Magazine VI-No.1 – 2016
In this issue of CITOC-magazine, we get a special sense of the internationality of our Order, on account of meetings held recently in various geographical areas. Here you will find an article on the present situation of the life of Carmelites in Latin America, especially the formation course for Carmelite students and young formators held in Peru, and on the 4th congress of ALACAR (the Association of American Carmelites) held in El Salvador, an important initiative for the colaboration between the members of the Carmelite Family in Latin America and its development.
Meanwhile in Europe, last Summer, a meeting of the Awakening project took place. Through a number of experiences and working sessions the young participants came to a greater awareness of their belonging to Carmel.
Still with young people, another article talks about the activities of young Carmelites in the countries of Asia-Australia-Oceania. They met in Indonesia for ongoing formation which allowed them to reflect on their first five years in ministry.
Moving around the geographical areas, there is an article on the Carmelite presence in Papua New Guinea. All of this is further enriched by the impressions offered by the respective Councillors General in relation to their work and the projects they are following, for example, those of the Councilor for Africa writing about the assembly of the superiors and directors of formation from the whole of Africa that took place in Tanzania.
This issue dedicates space also to the various celebrations going on in the Carmelite world, such as the Dedication of the city of Palestrina, Italy, to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and the celebration of the IV centenary of the foundation of the Carmelite monastery in Zaragoza, Spain.
It is obvious that without money none of these events could ever happen: it is appropriate then that this issue includes a report on the triennial meeting of the bursars of the Order, held in Fatima.
In addition to all of that, we offer a selection of main news items, some of which appeared in CITOC-online.

Citoc Magazine VI-No.1 – 2016
Este número de CITOC Magazine presenta de modo especial la internacionalidad de nuestra Orden. Recientemente se celebraron varias reuniones en todas las zonas geográficas. La información sobre la vida actual de los Carmelitas en las Américas nos ofrece dos artículos, uno sobre el IV Congreso ALACAR (Asociación Latinoamericana de Carmelitas) en El Salvador, y otro sobre el curso panamericano para formadores jóvenes y estudiantes carmelitas llevado a cabo en el Perú. Ambas son importantes iniciativas para el desarrollo de la Orden y el intercambio entre todos los miembros de la gran Familia Carmelita de las Américas.
Durante el verano europeo tuvo lugar una nueva reunión de “Despertar” (Awakening), donde el intercambio de experiencias y talleres de formación ayudaron a los jóvenes a ser más conscientes de su pertenencia al Carmelo. Otro artículo nos habla de los frailes jóvenes de los países de la zona de Asia y Oceanía que se reunieron para un encuentro de formación permanente en Indonesia y donde reflexionaron sobre sus primeros años en el ministerio.
Además de la presentación de la presencia carmelita en Papúa Nueva Guinea, estos artículos de actividades en las distintas zonas geográficas son complementados por las contribuciones de los consejeros generales que nos ofrecen una impresión de su labor y proyectos, como por ejemplo el del consejero de África que nos informa de la asamblea de superiores y formadores Carmelitas de toda África llevada a cabo en Tanzania.
Por otro lado, este fascículo contiene información sobre algunas celebraciones en el mundo carmelitano, como la solemne consagración a Nuestra Señora del Carmen de la ciudad de Palestrina en Italia, y la celebración del IV centenario de la fundación del monasterio de Zaragoza en España.
Sin dinero muchas de estas iniciativas no serían factibles, por ello, no debe faltar en este número un informe sobre el encuentro trienal de ecónomos de la Orden realizado en Fátima, Portugal.
Además de estos artículos, y otras informaciones, presentamos una selección de noticias importantes, algunas de las cuales ya se han publicado en CITOC-Online.

Citoc Magazine VI-No.1 – 2016
Con questo numero del CITOC-magazine si vuole presentare in particolar modo l’internazionalità del nostro Ordine, dati i recenti incontri che si sono svolti nelle varie aree geografiche. Sono presenti quindi articoli sullo stato attuale della vita dei carmelitani in America Latina, specialmente sul corso di formazione per studenti e giovani formatori in Perù e sul quarto congresso dell’ALACAR (Associazione Latinoamericana dei Carmelitani) tenutosi in El Salvador, importante iniziativa per lo sviluppo e lo scambio tra i membri della Famiglia Carmelitana Latinoamericana.
Vediamo invece che in Europa si è svolto, la scorsa estate, un altro incontro del progetto “Awakening”, nel quale, attraverso esperienze e laboratori formativi, i vari giovani hanno preso maggior coscienza della loro appartenenza al Carmelo.
Un altro articolo ci informa riguardo i giovani carmelitani dei paesi di Asia-Australia-Oceania, che si sono riuniti per un incontro di formazione permanente in Indonesia riflettendo sui loro primi anni di ministero.
Gli articoli inerenti alle varie geografiche, oltre alla presentazione sulla presenza Carmelitana in Papua Nuova Guinea, sono inoltre arricchiti dalle impressioni dei Consiglieri Generali riguardo il loro lavoro e i progetti in corso, come ad esempio l’assemblea in Tanzania dei superiori e formatori carmelitani di tutta l’Africa da parte del Consigliere Generale per l’Africa.
Questo numero vuole dare spazio anche alle varie celebrazioni che si stanno svolgendo nel mondo carmelitano, come la solenne consacrazione della città di Palestrina (Italia) alla Madonna del Carmine e la celebrazione del IV centenario della fondazione del monastero di Saragozza in Spagna.
Ovviamente senza soldi tutte queste iniziative non potrebbero essere realizzate; non poteva quindi mancare in questo numero la relazione sull’incontro triennale degli economi dell’Ordine tenutasi a Fatima.
Oltre a tutto questo, presentiamo una selezione delle principali notizie, alcune delle quali già pubblicate nel CITOC-online.
