Activities of the Prior General
On the 17th of June, in the company of all the members of the Curia, the Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., led the celebration of Evening Prayer at the St. Albert’s International Centre, to mark the closing of the academic year. The Prior General in his address to the members of the community spoke about things that are happening in the Order, and thanked the community, the Prior, Míceál O’Neill, O.Carm, and the bursar, Jan Wozniak, O.Carm., for the work they do in this important centre for the intellectual and spiritual life of the Order. The celebration ended with a joyful and fraternal dinner.
On the 21st of June, the Prior General led the celebration of the Eucharist at the meeting of the Third Order of the Italian Province, held at Sassone (Rome, Italy) from the 21st to the 23rd of June. This assembly had as its main theme, “Living the Jublilee, with St. Mary Magdalene de’Pazzi,”
From the 24th to the 26th of June, in the Monserrat Retreat House (Lake Dallas, Texas, U.S.A.) the Prior General gave a retreat to the many groups of Third Order members in Texas. More than one hundred assistants of the various chapters  took part in the retreat, the theme of which was Blessed Titus Brandsma as an inspiration for lay Carmelites in the 21st century.
On the 2nd of July, the Prior General took part in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Mount Carmel Hermitage in Cristoval, Texas U.S.A. The celebration of the Eucharist was led by the bishop of San Angelo (Texas), Michael Sis, and was concelebrated by the Prior General, and the former Prior General, Joseph Chalmers, the Prior Provincial of the PCM province, William Harry, O.Carm., and Fr. Fabián Mª Rosette, O.Carm., prior of the hermitage, along with many other priests. On that same day there was a concert of medieval music, “Medieval Pilgrimage in Iberia”, given by the “Texas Early Music Project”. The commemoration ended on the 3rd of July with a Mass of Thanksgiving, led by the Prior General.
Over these last months the Prior General visited the monasteries of Scandicci (Florence, Italy), Caudete, Onteniente, Valencia, and Zaragoza in Spain and Wahpeton, North Dakota, and Cristoval, Texas, in the U.S.A..

Actividades del Prior General
El pasado día 17 de junio, acompañado de todos los miembros de la Curia, el Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., presidió las Vísperas en el Centro Internacional de San Alberto con motivo de la clausura del año académico. El Prior General compartió con los miembros de la comunidad del CISA algunas noticias de la Orden, agradeció al Prior (P. Míceál O’Neill, O.Carm.) y al ecónomo (Fr. Jan Wozniak, O.Carm) su servicio, así como a todos los miembros de la comunidad su aportación a la buena marcha de este centro tan importante para vida espiritual e intelectual de la Orden. La celebración terminó con una cena compartida en un ambiente fraterno y alegre.
El día 21 de junio, presidió la eucaristía en el encuentro de las órdenes terceras de la Provincia Italiana que tuvo lugar en Sassone (Roma, Italia) del 21 al 23 de junio y que tuvo como tema central “Con Santa María Magdalena de Pazzi, vivamos el Jubileo”.
Los días 24 al 26 de junio, en la casa de retiros “Montserrat” (Lake Dallas, Texas, EEUU), el Prior General dio un retiro a los numerosos grupos de la Orden Tercera de la zona de Texas. Participaron más de cien asistentes de los diversos sodalicios y el retiro se centró en la figura del beato Tito Brandsma, como inspiración para los laicos carmelitas del siglo XXI.
El día 2 de julio participó en los actos conmemorativos del 25º aniversario del Eremitorio del Monte Carmelo (“Mount Carmel Hermitage”) de Christoval (Texas, EEUU). La eucaristía fue presidida por el Obispo de San Angelo (Texas), Monseñor Michael Sis y concelebraron el Prior General, el P. Joseph Chalmers, O.Carm., ex Prior General, el P. William Harry, O.Carm., Provincial de la Provincia PCM, el P. Fabián Mª Rosette, O.Carm., Prior del eremitorio y numerosos sacerdotes. El mismo día tuvo lugar un concierto de música medieval (“Medieval Pilgrimage in Iberia”) a cargo del “Texas Early Music Project”. Los actos conmemorativos terminaron el día 3 de julio con una eucaristía de acción de gracias para la familia carmelita presidida por el Prior General.
En estos meses el Prior General ha visitado los monasterios de Scandicci (Florencia, Italia); Caudete, Onteniente, Valencia y Zaragoza (España), así como Wahpeton (Dakota del Norte) y Christoval (Texas) en los Estados Unidos.

Attività del Priore Generale
Il 17 giugno scorso, accompagnato da tutti i membri della Curia, il Priore Generale, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., ha presieduto i vespri nel Centro Internazionale S. Alberto, in occasione della chiusura dell’anno accademico. Il Priore Generale ha condiviso con i membri della comunità del CISA alcune notizie dell’Ordine e ha ringraziato il priore, P. Míceál O’Neill, O.Carm. e l’economo, Fr. Jan Wozniak, O.Carm. per il loro servizio, ma anche tutti i membri della comunità per il loro contributo al buon funzionamento di questo centro così importante per la vita spirituale e intellettuale dell'Ordine. La celebrazione si è conclusa con una cena fraterna e gioiosa.
Il 21 giugno ha presieduto l’eucaristia durante l’incontro del Terz’Ordine della Provincia Italiana, che si è svolto a Sassone, Roma (Italia), dal 21 al 23 giugno. Il tema centrale dell’incontro è stato il seguente: “Con Santa Maria Maddalena de’ Pazzi viviamo il Giubileo”.
Dal 24 al 26 giugno ha predicato un ritiro per numerosi gruppi del Terz’Ordine della zona del Texas nella casa per ritiri “Monserrat” a Lake Dallas, in Texas (Stati Uniti). Hanno partecipato un centinaio di terziari di vari sodalizi. Il ritiro si è concentrato sul beato Tito Brandsma come figura ispirativa per i laici carmelitani del XXI secolo.
Il 2 luglio ha partecipato alla celebrazione del 25° anniversario dell’Eremo del Monte Carmelo (Mount Carmel Hermitage) a Christoval, Texas, negli Stati Uniti. Il vescovo di Sant’ Angelo (Texas), Mons. Michael Sis, ha presieduto l’eucaristia, concelebrata dal Priore Generale, da P. Joseph Chalmers, O.Carm., ex Priore Generale, da P. William Harry, O.Carm., Provinciale della Provincia PCM, da P. Fabián M. Rosette, O.Carm., dal Priore dell’eremo e da tanti sacerdoti. Lo stesso giorno il “Texas Early Music Project” ha eseguito un concerto di musica medievale (“Medieval Pilgrimage in Iberia”). I festeggiamenti si sono conclusi il 3 luglio con un’eucaristia di ringraziamento per la Famiglia Carmelitana, presieduta dal Priore Generale.
Durante questo periodo il Priore Generale ha visitato i monasteri di Scandicci, a Firenze, in   Italia; Caudete, Onteniente, Valencia e Saragozza in Spagna, ed infine Wahpeton (Dakota del Nord) e Christoval (Texas) negli Stati Uniti.
