The Third Meeting of the General Commission for the Revision of the Constitutions.
The third meeting of the General Commission for the Revision of the Constitutions took place in Rome at CISA (Centro Internazionale Sant' Alberto) from the 13th to the 15th of November, 2017.
The meeting, organized by the Procurator General, Fr. Michael Farrugia O.Carm., the person responsible for the Commission, began with a message from the Prior General, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral, O. Carm. Those taking part were the following members of the Commission: Fr. Christian Körner (Vice Prior General), Fr. John Keating (Councilor General), Fr. Giovanni Grosso (Ita), Fr. Mario Alfarano (General Delegate General for the Carmelite Nuns), Fr. Joseph Chalmers (Brit), Fr. Alexander Vella (Mel), Fr. Desiderio García Martínez (ACV), Fr. Vicente Aranda Guillén (ACV), Fr. Quinn Conners (PCM), Fr. Dariusz Borek (Pol), Fr. Claudemir Rozin (Par), Fr. Jean Marie Dundjì Bagave (Ita-Con), Fr. Alberto Neglia (Ita), Bro. Günter Benker (Ger), Fr. Edison Tinambunam (Indo).
The work on the first draft of the revision which was put together after broad consultation of the whole Order, through a letter sent for this purpose, was carried out in two stages: in the beginning the Commission divided up into two linguistic groups, who each examined the points that emerged from the proposals made at the General Congregation and from the provinces, commissariats, delegations and individual friars. Following that, the results of the group work were discussed by the whole Commission. At the end of the meeting a small team was named, with the task of writing the draft that will be presented to the General Chapter.

Tercer encuentro de la Comisión General para la revisión de las Constituciones
La Comisión General para la revisión de las Constituciones tuvo su tercer encuentro en el Centro Internacional San Alberto de Roma, del 13 al 15 de noviembre. Organizado por el Procurador General P. Michael Farrugia O.Carm., como responsable de la Comisión, el encuentro se inició con el saludo del Prior General, P. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm. Participaron los siguientes miembros de la Comisión: P. Christian Körner (Vice Prior General), P. John Keating (Consejero General), P. Giovanni Grosso (Ita), P. Mario Alfarano (Delegado General para las monjas), P. Joseph Chalmers (Brit), P. Alexander Vella (Mel), P. Desiderio García Martínez (ACV), P. Vicente Aranda Guillén (ACV), P. Quinn Conners (PCM), P. Dariusz Borek (Pol), P. Claudemir Rozin (Par), P. Jean Marie Dundjì Bagave (Ita-Con), P. Alberto Neglia (Ita), Fr. Günter Benker (Ger), P. Edison Tinambunam (Indo).
El trabajo, basado en el primer borrador de la revisión efectuada tras una ámplia consulta a toda la Orden por medio de una carta enviada al efecto, tuvo dos momentos: al inicio, la Comisión se dividió en dos grupos linguísticos, cada uno de los cuales examinó los puntos referentes a las diversas propuestas aparecidas durante la Congregación General, y las recibidas de algunas Provincias, Comisariados, Delegaciones y también de algunos frailes.
A continuación, toda la Comisión debatió sobre los resultados del trabajo de los grupos. Al final del encuentro se nombró un pequeño equipo, que redactará el nuevo borrador que será presentado al Capítulo General.

Il terzo incontro della Commissione per la revisione delle Costituzioni si è svolto dal 13 al 15 novembre a Roma, presso il Centro Internazionale Sant’Alberto.
L'incontro, organizzato dal Procuratore Generale P. Michael Farrugia O.Carm., che è responsabile della Commissione, è iniziato con il saluto del Priore Generale, P. Fernando Millán Romeral, O. Carm. Hanno partecipato i seguenti membri della Commissione: P. Christian Körner (Vice Priore Generale), P. John Keating (Consigliere Generale), P. Giovanni Grosso (Ita), P. Mario Alfarano (Delegato Generale per le monache), P. Joseph Chalmers (Brit), P. Alexander Vella (Mel), P. Desiderio García Martínez (ACV), P. Vicente Aranda Guillén (ACV), P. Quinn Conners (PCM), P. Dariusz Borek (Pol), P. Claudemir Rozin (Par), P. Jean Marie Dundjì Bagave (Ita-Con), P. Alberto Neglia (Ita), Fr. Günter Benker (Ger), P. Edison Tinambunam (Indo).
Il lavoro sulla prima bozza della revisione, che è stata compilata dopo un’ampia consultazione di tutto l’Ordine attraverso una lettera appositamente inviata, si è svolto in due momenti: all’inizio la Commissione si è suddivisa in due gruppi linguistici, ciascuno dei quali ha preso in esame i punti emersi dalle varie proposte pervenute durante la Congregazione Generale e da diverse Province, Commissariati, Delegazioni e singoli frati.
Successivamente i risultati del lavoro nei gruppi è stato discusso dall’intera Commissione. Al termine dell’incontro si è nominato una piccola équipe per la redazione della bozza che sarà presentata al Capitolo Generale.
