The General Chapter of the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters "Handmaids of Our Lady of Mount Carmel" was held 13-27 August 2019 at Mary Carmel Motherhouse in Yeovil, Mutare, Zimbabwe. The following were elected:
Superior General: Sr. Madeleine Chapisa, HLMC
Assistant General: Sr. Ernestina Makowa, HLMC
1st Councilor: Sr. Christine Ipai Undi, HLMC
2nd Councilor: Sr. Annuarite Manyahi, HLMC
3rd Councilor: Sr. Mary Vincent Mugadza, HLMC
