Feast of St. Andrew Corsini
January 9

St. Andrew Corsini was appointed Provincial of Tuscany in 1348 by the General Chapter meeting in Metz and the following year he was named bishop of Fiesole, near Florence. He governed his diocese well, becoming a model of charity and an eloquent preacher. He was distinguished by his zeal for the apostolate, his wise judgement and his love for the poor.

Fiesta de S. Andrés Corsini, obispo

S. Andrés Corsini fue provincial de Toscana en 1348 y al año siguiente fue nombrado obispo de Fiésole. Gobernó su diócesis con admirables ejemplos de caridad y con la elocuencia de su palabra. Se distinguió por su celo apostólico, prudencia y amor hacia los pobres.

Festa di Sant'Andrea Corsini, vescovo

Sant'Andrea fu eletto Provinciale di Toscana nel 1348 dal Capitolo Generale celebrato a Metz, e nell'anno seguente fu nominato vescovo di Fiesole. Governò la sua diocesi con ammirevoli esempi di carità e con eloquenza di parola. Si distinse per zelo apostolico, prudenza e amore verso i poveri. Egli stesso, con le proprie mani, distribuiva il pane ai bisognosi.
