"I will say something, however, to urge you to desire to see those things that mortal eyes are unable to see. Such desire, by raising the mind from earthly things to heavenly things, causes them, while still remaining earthly and mortal, at least in part to become heavenly. If it is true that where your treasure is, there will also be your heart, if our treasure is in heaven it is necessary that our heart also be in heaven. If it is in heaven, it has heavenly dimensions, and we need the desires of our heart to be heavenly, through the commitment to meditate on great and infinite things starting from the smallest."

Sin embargo, diré algo para instarte a desear ver aquellas cosas que los ojos mortales no pueden ver. Tal deseo, al elevar la mente de las cosas terrenales a las celestiales, hace que éstas, aunque todavía sean terrenales y mortales, se conviertan en celestiales al menos en parte. Si es cierto que donde está tu tesoro, allí estará también tu corazón, si nuestro tesoro está en el cielo, nuestro corazón debe estar también en el cielo. Si está en el cielo, tiene dimensiones celestiales, y es necesario que los deseos de nuestro corazón sean celestiales, mediante el compromiso de meditar en las cosas grandes e infinitas a partir de las más pequeñas.

"Dirò tuttavia qualcosa per spingerti a desiderare di vedere quelle cose che gli occhi mortali non sono in grado di vedere. Tale desiderio, elevando la mente dalle cose terrene a quelle celesti, fa sì che, pur restando ancora terreni e mortali, almeno in parte diventino celesti. Se è vero che là dov'è il tuo tesoro, sarà anche il tuo cuore, se il nostro tesoro lo abbiamo in cielo bisogna che sia in cielo anche il nostro cuore. Se è in cielo, ha dimensioni celesti e bisogna che celesti siano i desideri del nostro cuore, mediante l'impegno di meditare cose grandiose e infinite partendo dalle piú piccole."
