A native of Mantua, Italy, he was a Carmelite in the Mantuan Congregation and already ordained priest by 1452. For 35 years in the Carmelite church of his city, he was the spiritual director and rector of the Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, for whom he wrote a rule and a set of statutes.

Humble and gentle, he gave an example to everyone of a life of prayer, of generosity and of faithful service of the Lord. He was outstanding for his love of the Eucharist which was the centre of his apostolic life and for his devotion to Mary. He died in 1495.

Nació en Mantua, y en 1452 ya era sacerdote carmelita de la Congregación Mantuana. Durante 35 años, en la iglesia carmelita de su ciudad, fue director espiritual y rector de la cofradía de la bienaventurada Virgen María, para la cual escribió la regla y los estatutos.

Sencillo y humilde, fue para todos un ejemplo de oración, generosidad y fidelidad en el servicio del Señor. Se distinguió por su amor a la Eucaristía, centro de su vida apostólica, y su devoción mariana. Murió en 1495.

Nativo di Mantova, nel 1452 era già sacerdote carmelitano della Congregazione Mantovana. Per 35 anni, nella chiesa carmelitana della sua città, fu direttore spirituale e rettore della Confraternita della B.V. Maria, per la quale scrisse la regola e gli statuti.

Umile e mansueto, fu per tutti un esempio di preghiera, generosità e fedeltà nel servizio del Signore. Si distinse per il suo amore all'Eucarestia, centro della sua vita apostolica, e per la devozione mariana. Morì nel 1495.
