Celebrating at Home: Living the Kingdom 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time This section of St Matthew’s Gospel is about the Kingdom of God being seen in the Church when human needs are responded to with the life of God. St Matthew uses the story of Jesus approaching the disciples across the water to illustrate the confidence and trust the disciple needs to have in Christ. The story also shows how fear can erode faith and shake confidence.

São Mateus utiliza a história de Jesus que se acerca a dos discípulos caminhado sobre as águas para educar na confiança e na necessidade que o discípulo tem de confiar em Cristo. A história, também, mostra como o medo pode corroer a fé abalar a confiança.
