Congress on Titus Brandsma Held at Nijmegan's Radboud University Approximately 6o people took part in a Congress on Titus Brandama which included multiple presentations each day as well as a tour of those places frequented by Brandsma during his time at the university. The days also included a tour of the Carmelite monastery in Boxmeer where Brandsma made his novitiate. The conference included talks by experts on the various facets of Brandsma’s life as well as a broader look at Dutch mysticism, Eastern mysticism, National Socialism, Carmelite Spirituality, and the Carmelite Rule. Two Members of CISA Receive Doctorates Two members of the CISA Community in Rome recently received doctorates from the Pontifical Gregorian University.Djomandji Zofiet Guy Martial, O. Carm., from Cameroun in the German Province, defended his thesis on Le retour à l’imagine et à la resemblance de Dieu dans les Exercices de dix jours chez Jean de Saint-Samson. The second doctorate was awarded to Joseph Tri Phan, a member of the North American Province of St. Elias. His thesis was titled Toward a Fully Co-responsible Sharing in Evangelization and Ministry Specific to Carmel: The Impact of the Carmelite Reception of Vatican II's Ecclesiology and Theology of the Laity on the Secular Order of Carmelites in Asia. + + +
New "Brandsma Circle" Promotes Research into St. Titus' Life A new group is forming to promote continuing research into the life of Carmelite Saint Titus Brandsma. The Brandsma Circle is inviting all scholars interested in research on Titus Brandsma from around the world to join. Members will receive information about research being conducted and invitations to its congresses. + + +
Conferenia sobre San Tito Brandmsa en Nimega Aproximadamente 6o personas participaron en un Congreso sobre Titus Brandama que incluyó múltiples ponencias cada día, así como un recorrido por aquellos lugares frecuentados por Brandsma durante su estancia en la universidad. Las jornadas incluyeron también una visita al monasterio carmelita de Boxmeer, donde Brandsma hizo su noviciado. Dos miembros del CISA reciben el doctorado Dos miembros de la Comunidad CISA de Roma han recibido recientemente el doctorado por la Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana. Djomandji Zofiet Guy Martial, O. Carm., camerunés de la Provincia alemana, defendió su tesis sobre “Le retour à l'imagine et à la resemblance de Dieu dans les Exercices de dix jours chez Jean de Saint-Samson”. El segundo doctorado fue concedido a Joseph Tri Phan, miembro de la Provincia norteamericana de San Elías. Circulo promueve investigación sobre vida de Brandsma Se está formando un nuevo grupo para promover la investigación continua sobre la vida del santo carmelita Tito Brandsma. El Círculo invita a unirse a todos los estudiosos interesados en la investigación sobre Tito Brandsma de todo el mundo. Un nuovo circolo promuove la ricerca su Tito Brandsma Si sta formando un nuovo gruppo per promuovere la ricerca continua sulla vita del santo carmelitano Tito Brandsma. Il gruppo è stato presentato formalmente al termine della conferenza su Tito Brandsma tenutasi all'Università Radboud di Nijmegen, Paessi Bassi, dal 3 al 6 ottobre 2023. Il Circolo invita tutti gli studiosi interessati alla ricerca su Tito Brandsma di tutto il mondo a farne parte. I membri riceveranno informazioni sulle ricerche in corso e inviti ai congressi.
