Carmelite Nuns in Wahpeton, United States, Celebrate Elective Chapter The Carmelite nuns of Wahpeton (USA) held their triennial elections on November 1, 2023. Presiding over the election was Bishop John T. Folda, Bishop of Fargo. He also offered Mass before the beginning of the meetings and opened the Chapter with a prayer that the Holy Spirit would open minds and hearts to God’s grace in the lives of the sisters and the community and that the prioress would be a servant after the Heart of Jesus. The monastery was founded 69 years ago by Sr. Rosa of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and six nuns from the Carmelite monastery in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The date of the foundation is October 24, 1954. Las monjas carmelitas en Wahpeton, North Dakota, celebran su Capítulo electivo Las monjas carmelitas de Wahpeton (EE.UU.) celebraron sus elecciones trienales el 1 de noviembre de 2023. Presidió la elección Mons. John T. Folda, Obispo de Fargo, quien también ofició la misa al comienzo de las reuniones y abrió la sesión con una oración para que el Espíritu Santo abra las mentes y los corazones a la gracia de Dios en la vida de las hermanas y de la comunidad y para que la priora sea una sierva según el Corazón de Jesús. El monasterio fue fundado hace 69 años por Sor Rosa del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y seis monjas del monasterio carmelita de Allentown, Pennsylvania. A presiedere l'elezione è stato Mons. John T. Folda, Vescovo di Fargo, che ha anche officiato la Messa all'inizio delle riunioni e ha aperto la sessione con una preghiera affinché lo Spirito Santo apra le menti e i cuori alla grazia di Dio nella vita delle sorelle e della comunità e affinché la priora sia una serva del Cuore di Gesù.
