Elective Chapter Held in Carmelite Monastery of Carmel of Mary, Star of the Sea in Tanay, Philippines

Carmel of Mary, Star of the Sea, of the Diocese of Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines, held its 9th Canonical Election of the Prioress on February 19, 2026. Following the celebration of the Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit, the election was presided over by the Most Rev. Ruperto C. Santos, D.D., the bishop of Antipolo.

The elections of the other officials followed on February 24, 2026.

The community will celebrate the Silver Anniversary of its foundation in 2001 on November 11 this year. The Silver Anniversary of the dedication of its chapel will be celebrated on December 15, 2027. As the first and only foundation of teh Stella Maris Federation of the Carmelite Nuns in the Philippines, the monastery is the fruit of the union of the member monasteries.

Capítulo electivo celebrado en el monasterio carmelita "Carmel of Mary, Star of the Sea" en Tanay, Filipinas

El monasterio «Carmel of Mary, Star of the Sea», perteneciente a la diócesis de Antipolo, Rizal, Filipinas, celebró su novena elección canónica de priora el 19 de febrero de 2026. Tras la celebración de la Misa votiva del Espíritu Santo, la elección fue presidida por el Reverendísimo Ruperto C. Santos, D.D., obispo de Antipolo.

Las elecciones de los demás cargos se celebraron el 24 de febrero de 2026.

La comunidad celebrará el 11 de noviembre de este año el vigésimo quinto aniversario de su fundación en 2001. El vigésimo quinto aniversario de la dedicación de su capilla se celebrará el 15 de diciembre de 2027. Como primera y única fundación de la Federación Stella Maris de las Monjas Carmelitas en Filipinas, el monasterio es fruto de la unión de los monasterios afiliados.

Il Carmel of Mary, Star of the Sea, della diocesi di Antipolo, nella provincia di Rizal, nelle Filippine, ha tenuto la sua nona elezione canonica della priora il 19 febbraio 2026. Al termine della celebrazione della Messa votiva dello Spirito Santo, l’elezione è stata presieduta dal Rev.mo Ruperto C. Santos, D.D., vescovo di Antipolo.

Le elezioni per le altre cariche si sono svolte il 24 febbraio 2026.

La comunità celebrerà l’11 novembre di quest’anno il venticinquesimo anniversario della sua fondazione, avvenuta nel 2001. Il venticinquesimo anniversario della consacrazione della sua cappella sarà celebrato il 15 dicembre 2027. In quanto prima e unica fondazione della Federazione Stella Maris delle suore carmelitane nelle Filippine, il monastero è il frutto dell’unione dei monasteri affiliati.
