St. Angelus, Priest and Martyr May 5 - Memorial Angelus is thought to have been one of the first Carmelites to return to Sicily from Mount Carmel and, according to a long-standing tradition, he was murdered in Licata during the first half of the 13th century. The cult of Saint Angelus spread throughout the Order and among ordinary lay people.
