John Malley, O.Carm. the former Prior General, died unexpectedly yesterday evening, the 18th of February in Tucson, Arizona, (U.S.A.). Fr. John was born on the 26th of July 1930 in Boston (U.S.A.). On-going formation course in the Holy Land During the General Congregation of the Order at Niagara Falls, Canada, last September, an on-going formation course in the Holy Land from 29th August to 12th September 2012 was announced. A Tribute to Fr. B. Xiberta On the 10th of February last, a ceremony to honour Fr. Bartolomé Xiberta was held at our house in Tarrasa (Barcelona, Spain) the city where he died in 1967. At the ceremony there was a presentation of the book written by the priest Josep Maria Manresa Lamarca, titled, The Ecclesiology of Fr. B. Earthquake in the Philippines On February 6, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. a 6.9 Magnitude earthquake hit the Negros - Cebu regions of the Philippines. Our parish has been badly affected with the loss of 23 lives, including many children and babies, over 40 houses were totally destroyed and another 12 very badly damaged.
